![]() I like the PC because I don't have to pay for all this stuff that I won't use and have to use it to justify why I had to pay more for it. GarageBand looks interesting and iDVD is useful, but there's nothing there that cannot be taken care of by better, open-source applications. I haven't owned a single IR device since I was in middle school.Īs for iLife, I've got the Windows Live Essentials bundle to take care of that, and more. If I did want one I could pick a decent one up for around $30. I don't need Wifi on my desktop since, you know, I'm not going to be moving it around since it's a desktop and all. My mobo/case comes pre-equipped with Firewire so I don't need a card. With the deals on Win7 now, you'd have to be pretty lazy if you ended up paying more than the $100-130 range for a copy of Windows 7 HP/Pro. Snow Leopard costs $30 apparently, so it's not as if that's an expensive part of the iMac build. ![]()
